Wow it is hard to believe it has been a month since my last post.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year eveyone.  Today, I am sharing with you a desk calendar I built for my brother for Christmas.  I used Graphic 45 Good Ol' Sport.  This gift came together quick and I am very pleased with how it turned out.  Hope you enjoy the show - although the December picture did not work out - the rest is here to see.

Quick and easy Christmas cards

Hello everyone.  I often hear people say what do you do with all your scraps?  Well I save them and then use them on cards!!  Here are few of the examples and a quick video.  I hope you enjoy and are inspired to use up your own scraps.  I even collect scraps from other crafters - possibly an addiction but I am okay with that lol.  Have a great day crafting everyone!!

St. Nicholas Mini Album

Here is a video of the mini album I made using Graphic 45's St. Nicholas collection.  I love this collection it has a great Santa face (most important) and just lends itself to soooo many things.  I am working on an assortment of Christmas albums that will become part of my yearly Christmas decorations.  Hope you enjoy - I loved making this.

Graphic 45 Tropical Travelogue box and mini album

So since my last post I have been at a two-day crop hosted by Aall Scrapbook Essentials in Kamloops, BC.  As a result I was able to get the majority of my mini album and box completed that I had started to show you in the previous post.

Originally, I was planning to use both the Graphic 45 Tropical Travelogue and Steampunk Debutante but I decided to go with only the Tropical Travelogue and hope you like the results.  The gift box is made using one of the Graphic 45 Deep Rectangle Matchbook Boxes.  I added the acetate and handle to the box.  I still have a bit more embellishing to do but so far I am very excited with the outcome - this Graphic 45 paper is absolutely stunning!!!!

Working on it

So here the start - I am going to put acetate on the box so you can see the mini album through it.  The first album  I built you can see is too tall for the box it is sitting in. You
can see it in the video below - at a two drop this weekend so hopefully I will get album finished.  Stay tuned.

Ready Set Go...

Well calendars are finished and space is finally cleaned to start the next project.  I am going to build a mini album, likely inside this Graphic 45 box and plan to use the Tropical Travelogue and Steampunk  Debutante collections from Graphic 45.  So this is pretty much how I plan a project.  I grab a few things and then let the creativity begin.  I will update as things come together.  See you soon.

Calendars and Christmas Presents

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.  Family has all gone home so it is quiet today.  Just working on Christmas presents - hoping to finish this today.  I have been making calendars for the family for the last 15 years - they love to receive them as much as I love to make them.  I used Graphic 45 Chidren's Hour calendar pad and collection kit as well as assorted scraps from stash. Hope you enjoy the sneak peak.

Christmas Shaker Box

Well here it is - finally!! Sorry it took so long to post but I finally have my first shaker box done.  I thoroughly enjoyed this project and look forward to making more.  I have uploaded my first  YouTube video for you of the shaker box and hope you enjoy it.  To make the shakerbox I was inspired by the tutorial by Alexandra Morein  that can be found on her website at http://clayguana.blogspot.com.
I used the Carta Bella Christmas line for this project and I love the rustic nature of this paper.  Thanks for stopping by.

Hope you enjoy the video of the shaker box.

Holy cow - what a sale!!

Wow - just a quick post tonight to let everyone know about the amazing online sale happening August 28 and 29th at https://aallscrapbookessentials-com.

Those who know me and those are getting to know me know that Aall Scrapbook Essentials in Kamloops, BC is where I get all of my scrapbook supplies.  The owner Tania Powell goes above and beyond when it comes to finding and bringing in items we request.  If she doesn't carry a particular thing you are looking for - you can be certain she will do her best to bring it in.  I know what I will be doing tomorrow - placing my online order!!!

I will be posting my lastest creation -  a Christmas shaker box with matching cards in the next few days.

Book box with mini albums

Hello everyone.  Today I want to share a project I finally finished.  A few months ago I took a course taught by Kelly Brandt in Kamloops, BC based on Ginger Ropp's (My Sisters Scrapper) design to create a book box and three mini albums.  I used the Graphic 45 book box, Graphic 45 French Country collectors addition as well as Tim Holtz's pulley wheels.

I hope you enjoy the quick video above showing this project.  As always, I strayed from the page adding wheels, flips, waterfalls and upside down elements.  I am inspired by many designers and enjoy following their tutorials but more often than not - I stray from the page and let the design take on whatever creative inspiration I have.  I look forward to reading your comments.

Just a Few More...

Here are few more of the cards I made with Authenique's Vintage Christmas and pieces from my stash.  I will say using any Christmas paper with black in it is a challenge for me but I am pretty pleased how these turned out.  Hope you enjoy.

Welcome

Welcome to my blog.  I look forward to sharing my passion for paper crafting with you - especially mini albums, scrapbooking, card making, calendars and anything thing else that pops into my creative brain.

I thought I would quickly share with you a Christmas card I am making with Authenque's Vintage Christmas.  Simple, quick and lovely.  Good thing as I have lots of Christmas cards to make.  I love anything with a good Santa face.  You will get to know what I mean by a good Santa face lol.
Thanks for visiting see you soon.
