Love Notes

Hello everyone!!!

I just wanted to share a few pictures of the anniversary present I made my husband - we have been together 32 years and simply put I love that boy.  I was very touched when my husband shared pictures of his gift on Facebook - the comments and outpouring from everyone have been amazing.

For this project I used a Graphic 45 Travel Journal, the Graphic 45 Love Notes collection, the Love Notes solids and patterns as well as the journaling cards, chipboard and stickers.  All of this was transformed into the anniversary present below, full of love notes, memories and our story over the last 32 years.  I hope you enjoy it.

This is our story - more than 60 pages of why I love my husband and our incredible journey together.

When my husband posted this on Facebook he stated that it made him cry.  He never ceases to amaze me.

When you have no plan...

As many of you know, I like to create with just a vague plan - that way I am always surprised in how things turn out.  For this project all I have decided on is the paper.  I am using Graphic 45's A Perfect Gentleman Deluxe Collectors Edition.  After that sky is the limit.

So what does it mean to start a project with no plan?  Often it can mean cutting, scoring, recutting and so on.  Is this how things have started with this project?  You bet and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Here is a glimpse at the beginning.  I will post more as the project progresses.

Unveiling....

Good morning everyone!!!  Just a quick update to my last post showing the travel album and steamer trunk I built using Graphic 45 City Scapes and Tropical Travelogue collections.
Well, I can now share with you that they are in their new home - with the beautiful bride-to-be Brittany.  Her sister threw her a travel themed shower so I thought these would be more than fitting - I must say Brit loved them!!!

So glad she liked them - I certainly enjoyed making them!!!

Thursday, 28 February 2019

Hello everyone here is the start of my latest project using a Graphic 45 Square tag and pocket album as well as the Tropical Travelogue, City Scapes and Penny's Paper Dolls Family collections.  I decided to change things up, turn the album into a suitcase and build a little steamer trunk to go with it.
This was a very fun project.  The only plan I had was the products I was using, after that, it was simply whatever my creative brain came up with.  I must say I have the most fun when I just start sticking stuff down and just let the process happen.  One of these days I may plan a project out start to finish....or not...
So here is a quick video of the finished project - I hope you enjoy it.  I look forward to seeing your comments.  Happy crafting!!!!

Where it all started...

Wow February already - today winter has finally come and we actually have some winter temperatures -13 C at the moment.

As you know my latest obsession is mini album building - and I have about 50 ideas floating around in my head so be prepared - they will start coming as soon as I can make them a reality.

But for now, I have returned to where it all started for me - 12 x 12 albums.  Of course now there will be flips and flaps because seriously how could there not be.  To accomplish this I am using my fuse tool by we are memory keepers.  I will upload a video of this later as the recording I thought I was doing didn't happen - helps if you turn the camera on.😁

So here is a quick montage of the first few pages.  Hope you enjoy and I will post more as we go along - I truly love the 12 x 12 format.  Happy crafting everyone.

What the heck?

I know you are wondering why the heck I am filming a skirt.  Well let me tell you.  The reason is to show that crafting potential is everywhere.  The tassels from this skirt will become the closure for a future mini album.  I love this skirt but the tassels don't work well for me so I am going to re-purpose them.  Why not.  I see crafting potential in virtually everything - probably why I use so many scraps!!!  Happy crafting.  See you soon.

Scrap Calendar

Good morning!!!  Scraps - we all have them, save them and are sometimes not sure what to do with them.  Well, I love using my scraps and tend to do a number of projects with them.  In an earlier post I had shared easy cards to make with scraps and today I am sharing my calendar - made totally from scraps.
That is truly how quick a scrap calendar can come together and here are some pictures of the months done so far.

I will add more pictures of the calendar as it comes together.  Have a great day and happy crafting.

Ready Set Go...

Well calendars are finished and space is finally cleaned to start the next project.  I am going to build a mini album, likely inside this Graphic 45 box and plan to use the Tropical Travelogue and Steampunk  Debutante collections from Graphic 45.  So this is pretty much how I plan a project.  I grab a few things and then let the creativity begin.  I will update as things come together.  See you soon.

Calendars and Christmas Presents

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.  Family has all gone home so it is quiet today.  Just working on Christmas presents - hoping to finish this today.  I have been making calendars for the family for the last 15 years - they love to receive them as much as I love to make them.  I used Graphic 45 Chidren's Hour calendar pad and collection kit as well as assorted scraps from stash. Hope you enjoy the sneak peak.

Christmas Shaker Box

Well here it is - finally!! Sorry it took so long to post but I finally have my first shaker box done.  I thoroughly enjoyed this project and look forward to making more.  I have uploaded my first  YouTube video for you of the shaker box and hope you enjoy it.  To make the shakerbox I was inspired by the tutorial by Alexandra Morein  that can be found on her website at http://clayguana.blogspot.com.
I used the Carta Bella Christmas line for this project and I love the rustic nature of this paper.  Thanks for stopping by.

Hope you enjoy the video of the shaker box.
