Happy Birthday baby!!!

Happy Birthday Baby!!!

My husband celebrated his 67th birthday July 1st - so of course I had to make a card!!!
For this card I used Pip Art's Follow the Stars Home Stamp and my Misti.  I will say colouring a stamp is a new venture for me.  I used my Zig Pens (yes I still have these and love them)!!
Once the stamp was coloured, I cut it out, mounted it on some scraps of barn board paper I had  in my stash and poof Birthday Card done.  I am very pleased with how this card turned out especially as I have never stamped anything and added colour to it prior to this card.  As always, I got my stamp from my favorite scrapbook store - Aall Scrapbook Essentials in Kamloops, BC or online at aallscrapbookessentials.com

Happy crafting!!! By for now, until we meet again.

Something for mom

Hello everyone.  Here is a card I made for my mom using Echo Park's I Am Mom Collection pack, coordinating solids and ephemera.  I really love how this card turned out and enjoyed making it.  I know my mom is going to love it.

When you have no plan...

As many of you know, I like to create with just a vague plan - that way I am always surprised in how things turn out.  For this project all I have decided on is the paper.  I am using Graphic 45's A Perfect Gentleman Deluxe Collectors Edition.  After that sky is the limit.

So what does it mean to start a project with no plan?  Often it can mean cutting, scoring, recutting and so on.  Is this how things have started with this project?  You bet and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Here is a glimpse at the beginning.  I will post more as the project progresses.

Thursday, 28 February 2019

Hello everyone here is the start of my latest project using a Graphic 45 Square tag and pocket album as well as the Tropical Travelogue, City Scapes and Penny's Paper Dolls Family collections.  I decided to change things up, turn the album into a suitcase and build a little steamer trunk to go with it.
This was a very fun project.  The only plan I had was the products I was using, after that, it was simply whatever my creative brain came up with.  I must say I have the most fun when I just start sticking stuff down and just let the process happen.  One of these days I may plan a project out start to finish....or not...
So here is a quick video of the finished project - I hope you enjoy it.  I look forward to seeing your comments.  Happy crafting!!!!

Where it all started...

Wow February already - today winter has finally come and we actually have some winter temperatures -13 C at the moment.

As you know my latest obsession is mini album building - and I have about 50 ideas floating around in my head so be prepared - they will start coming as soon as I can make them a reality.

But for now, I have returned to where it all started for me - 12 x 12 albums.  Of course now there will be flips and flaps because seriously how could there not be.  To accomplish this I am using my fuse tool by we are memory keepers.  I will upload a video of this later as the recording I thought I was doing didn't happen - helps if you turn the camera on.😁

So here is a quick montage of the first few pages.  Hope you enjoy and I will post more as we go along - I truly love the 12 x 12 format.  Happy crafting everyone.

What the heck?

I know you are wondering why the heck I am filming a skirt.  Well let me tell you.  The reason is to show that crafting potential is everywhere.  The tassels from this skirt will become the closure for a future mini album.  I love this skirt but the tassels don't work well for me so I am going to re-purpose them.  Why not.  I see crafting potential in virtually everything - probably why I use so many scraps!!!  Happy crafting.  See you soon.

Scrap Calendar

Good morning!!!  Scraps - we all have them, save them and are sometimes not sure what to do with them.  Well, I love using my scraps and tend to do a number of projects with them.  In an earlier post I had shared easy cards to make with scraps and today I am sharing my calendar - made totally from scraps.
That is truly how quick a scrap calendar can come together and here are some pictures of the months done so far.

I will add more pictures of the calendar as it comes together.  Have a great day and happy crafting.

St. Nicholas Mini Album

Here is a video of the mini album I made using Graphic 45's St. Nicholas collection.  I love this collection it has a great Santa face (most important) and just lends itself to soooo many things.  I am working on an assortment of Christmas albums that will become part of my yearly Christmas decorations.  Hope you enjoy - I loved making this.
