Safari Fever - Gecko Galz July DT Projects

 Well it is my day up at Gecko Galz - it is Safari Fever time!!!!

This month I made travelers notebook complete with embellished paperclips, coffee dyed paper and a few embellishments from my stash. 

Of course if you travel you need a momento box for all your treasures - so I altered a cigar box I found at a garage sale.  I love the end result!!!

And of course, I used up some scraps from my stash with these incredible images to make some fabulous cards!!!!

July GG challenges

 Today I am sharing two projects I made with this month's free Christmas image and card image.  Both of these challenges can be found over on the Gecko Galz blog at http://geckogalzscrapbooking.blogspot.com

First up is this amazing Santa image - I love Santa and this one is gorgeous - actually so gorgeous I knew I had to do a layout with it!!!!  You have time to enter July's Christmas challenge and I can't wait to see what you make.

The second project is for July's card challenge.  This image is so stunning all on it's own I just wanted to showcase it and decided to build a frame for the card front.  Hope you enjoy.

Dapper Gentleman - June DT projects for GG

 Today is my up on the Gecko Galz site.  Make sure to check it out at http://geckogalzscrapbooking.blogspot.com/

June's theme - Dapper Gentlemen - was a lot fun. My first project was a "first" for me - an altered cigarette tin that I found a garage sale.  

Next up, is my altered placemat.  I took a cork backed placemat, painted it and then added the pocket watch image stamp along with various dapper gentlemen and clocks to make this one-of-kind holder for hot food or whatever.  

I finished up my DT projects for the month with some dapper cards and tags.  These are a great way to use up scraps while creating something incredible.
