Sea Goddess

Today I get to share my June creations for Gecko Galz Sea Goddess theme.  This was such a fun theme!!!  I created this 12x12 layout  pulling in some Goddess of the Sea images, with fish camp images along with the goregous Mintay lighthouse chippie and Graphic 45 paper. 

I also had a blast creating the pop-up post card - which be making its way in the mail shortly, along with these fun sea themed cards.  Yes there is a wee bit of snark too. 

I wrapped it all up with an 8.5x11 layout that will likely become part of a 12x12 for my niece's calander.

Wish Upon a Star

 Today I am sharing my Wish Upon a Star creations for Gecko Galz.  This is such a fun theme with so many possibilities!!!  

For this layout, I showcased one of the beautiful images from the Wish Upon A Star collage sheet by adding it to layers of torn paper and embellishing with vellum flowers from Uniquely Creative.

For the next two page toppers/edgers I used multiple layers of scraps to showcase the beautifull Wish Upon a Star images.

And finally a birthday card - just because.

November Victorian Fantasy - GG DT projects

 Hello there.  Well today I am up on the Gecko Galz blog with my November Victorian Fantasy projects.  This theme really pushed me - which I love.  I love the era but don't often create with that in mind - so I really enjoyed this. I made a double page spread for my art journal, altered a tin, created cards, altered a postcard and created an additional collage for my journal. !!!

Steampunk Mona Lisa

Dapper Gentleman - June DT projects for GG

 Today is my up on the Gecko Galz site.  Make sure to check it out at http://geckogalzscrapbooking.blogspot.com/

June's theme - Dapper Gentlemen - was a lot fun. My first project was a "first" for me - an altered cigarette tin that I found a garage sale.  

Next up, is my altered placemat.  I took a cork backed placemat, painted it and then added the pocket watch image stamp along with various dapper gentlemen and clocks to make this one-of-kind holder for hot food or whatever.  

I finished up my DT projects for the month with some dapper cards and tags.  These are a great way to use up scraps while creating something incredible.

Spun Sugar - May DT Projects for Gecko Galz

 Today is my day up on the Gecko Galz blog.  May's theme is Spun sugar which screams sweetness to me so I did my version of sweetness.  First up we have Sweet But Sassy.  I upcycled a piece of corrugated cardboard, painted it, added a few sassy cowgirls - yes just like me - finished with a few pieces from my stash and the perfect wall art!!!  I love how this turned out with a rope edge for finish. Next we have sweetness overload with this Spun Sugar cake topper.  I pulled in images from the newletter as well as the monthly challenge badge to add to this fun cake topper.  I cut the Happy Birthday out three times and then offset the layering and I love how it turned out.

Birds of a Feather - Gecko Galz April DT Projects

 Today is my day up on the Gecko Galz blog.  You can check it out at http://geckogalzscrapbooking.blogspot.com/

My first project this month is an embellished feather perfect for centre pieces, arrangements and so much more.  To create this I blew up one of the Woodwork ATC cards, fashioned the feather, fringed the edges and embellished away.  I just love how this turned out!!!!

Next, I used the Pretty Bird collage sheets, coupled with scraps and Bird is the Word sayings to create these fun birthday cards.

And finally, another first for me - an art journal page.  This was so much fun and I must say is somewhat addicting.  For the foundation I printed a stamp from the Secret Garden Stamp set onto a sheet from the Spring Awakening collection.  From there I embellished, embellished, embellished.
